Welcome to the IT Health Board

The role of the IT Health Board (known formally as the National Health Information Technology Board) is to provide leadership on the implementation and use of information systems across the health and disability sector. The IT Health Board is a sub-committee of the National Health Board and is charged with ensuring that health sector policy is supported by appropriate health information and IT solutions.

Some of IT Health Board's key activities include  Primary healthcare IT grants fund, investment decisions, clinical leadershipconsumer engagement and HISO (2010).

New Transfer of Care standards being developed

As technologies keep changing so do the standards required to support them. The Referral, Status and Discharge (RSD) standard is one example.

Clinical leadership meeting: What will 2014 look like?

Our National Clinical Leadership Group (NICLG) met in April, and provided insight into how regions are aligning their services, such as electronic referrals.
